Located on 31 acres in Bedford, PA , what started as a small 'hobby farm' is quickly turning into a homestead. Our goal is simple - raise happy, healthy animals that have access to ample pasture and forage and in return, they provide us with meat, milk and other needs.
Our herd of 20-some nubian dairy goats are all on DHIA, are LA'd on a semi-regular basis and compete locally as time permits. We strive to breed for deep bodied, dual purpose goats that not only fill a milk pail but can also be used to fill our freezer. Our goats are raised on CAE prevention and our herd is tested yearly for CAE/CL/Johnes. We have always had a negative herd.
We breed AKC english mastiffs - usually we average 1 litter a year. Our dogs are farm and family raised, and we pride ourselves on the care our dogs receive. Calliope (our female) has her cardiac clearance and hip/elbow OFAs. Our male, Leo, will have the same once he is old enough. Both have their genetic clearances.
In the future, we plan to add Meishan hogs, silver fox rabbits and some cattle to our operation. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions or to be placed on a waiting list.
